Go2Net, Inc. was up 1 3/8 to 56 5/8 in Tuesday morning trading after the Internet portal company reported earnings that beat analysts’ expectations.
Go2Net reported pro forma net income of $8.31 million, or 18 cents a share, before special items, up from $1.14 million, or 3 cents, in the same quarter last year. Revenue rose more than 300 percent to $18.74 million. Analysts were looking for income of 11 cents a share, according to First Call/Thompson Financial.
The company made “tremendous progress across all metrics” in all its key businesses, said President John Keister.
