pcOrder.com Inc. (Nasdaq: PCOR) rose 3/32 to 5 27/32 Tuesday after the company said it licensed its business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce technology to America Online Inc. (NYSE: AOL).
pcOrder said it will provide information on computer software, computer products and consumer electronics for AOL to use on its [email protected] online shopping sites. pcOrder’s ContentSource provides detailed information about the products available, as well as graphic images of products.
Christina Jones, president and chief operating officer of the Austin, Texas-based pcOrder, said AOL’s choice of the company “demonstrates that pcOrder helps companies to deliver to their customers the necessary information required to make an online purchase.”
