Has India's information technology (IT) outsourcing boom peaked? There have been predictions that India will lose most of its outsourcing firms in the next two years. IT industry wages in India reportedly rose an average of 12 percent in 2004 and are projected to increase by another 15 percent in 2005. New outsourcing destinations have been receiving attention recently, with South Africa, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Kenya and Ghana entering international markets.

Most of the claims are exagerated... Failures are like sparkz that can flame up the entire industry... India is doing a good job at the moment with plenty of its people at decision making positions abroad, yes it can hold a few shocks. But it doesnt take too many failures to bring down anything...

I am regular visitor of ecommercetimes.com and i see that the author Anthony Mitchell is Pro Pakistani. I have read several articles of him and in each and every article i see that he is trying to blame Indian IT pros and .I think the author should rectify himself and check that the companies like Google,Microsoft,Oracle,Accenture are not mad to open the Office here in India. The author should write an email to Google founders and asked them why they have choosen India and not South Africa, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Kenya and Ghana .
