I recently purchased a sony 53" plasma tv. I am now hearing that plasma only last up to 7 years. Is this a rumor?
NEC PlasmaSynch 42MP3 screen failure - I have just been informed that the appearance of a 33mm wide vertical black stripe down the right side of this expensive plasma screen is not repairable, and that I need to get a complete plasma unit screen replacement. The unit is 5 years old, and has run an estimated 5000 hours - I thought I could expect up to 30,000 hours of life - am I being unreasonable??
